Susannah acquired such a reputation in East Yorkshire that she became known as the Barrow Witch. She is known by many variations of her name whether Susannah Goor, Goer or Gore. What is known is that she was a genuine woman and not some mythical legend. There are multiple books and newspaper reports that talk about the Driffield Witch but the conflicting stories have become muddled over the years Local historian Mike Covell takes a look at some of the takes from Hull and the East Riding.
